Acyuta Gopi to Headline IFFI 2025 Closing Ceremony in Panaji
Grammy-nominee Acyuta Gopi to close IFFI 2025

The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is set for a soul-stirring finale, with Grammy-nominated devotional singer Acyuta Gopi announced as the headline act for the closing ceremony in Panaji. The New York-based artist will bring the prestigious event to a close this Friday with a specially curated performance.

A Celebration of Spiritual Music

Sanjay Jaju, Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, explained the reasoning behind this inspired choice. He highlighted a significant cultural movement where young people, particularly Generation Z, are actively embracing spirituality and finding community through bhajans and devotional music.

Jaju stated that this resurgence demonstrates how timeless traditions are evolving to create uplifting and inclusive experiences. He expressed confidence that Gopi's performance, known for its unique ability to unite communities through her Krishna bhajans, would offer audiences a refreshing and memorable conclusion to the festival.

An Inclusive and Diverse Lineup

The closing ceremony's cultural program promises a rich tapestry of talent. The evening will commence with a powerful performance by Miracle on Wheels, an inclusive dance initiative celebrated for its innovative choreography and featuring differently-abled artists.

Adding to the event's diversity, Acyuta Gopi will also perform as part of a special showcase for WAVES OTT. This segment is designed to spotlight emerging artistic talent from across the nation, and she will share the stage with select winners from the previous year's Create India Challenge.

The grand closing ceremony of IFFI 2025 will welcome a global audience of filmmakers, industry leaders, artists, and dignitaries, marking a fitting end to the celebrated film festival.
