Bengaluru: The Rangoli Metro Art Center (RMAC) at MG Road Metro Station has extended an invitation to musicians and music enthusiasts across Bengaluru to join the World Music Day celebrations scheduled for June 21.
Open Platform for Artists
According to a press release from the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), the event will offer an open platform for artists of all ages and musical genres to showcase their talent in front of a live audience. Performers representing Indian classical, Carnatic, Hindustani, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, Folk, Fusion, and Contemporary music are encouraged to participate in the day-long program.
Event Details
The celebrations will take place from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM across multiple venues within the Rangoli Metro Art Center, including its 120-seat auditorium and open-air performance spaces. A major attraction will be Bengaluru’s popular Community Drum Jam, led by noted musicians Vasundhara Das and Roberto Narain. Entry to the event is free.
Registration Process
Musicians interested in performing can register by emailing rangoli@bmrc.co.in with details of their performance, genre, and duration. Registrations can also be completed in person at RMAC between 11 AM and 5 PM. Performance slots will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
