Ever since the ‘AA23’ anthem was released, fans have been excited about the collaboration between two major filmmakers. Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj have announced that they will begin shooting their upcoming movie, tentatively titled ‘AA23’ or ‘LK7’, this year. According to the latest updates, the makers have started working on the script.
‘AA23’ Script Work Already Underway
In a conversation with Little Talks, writer and director Rathna Kumar, who is also working on the Allu Arjun and Atlee film, shared an update. He revealed that the makers have already begun working on the script. Rathna Kumar is currently promoting his upcoming movie ‘29’, starring Vidhu and Preethi Asrani.
On Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ Leak
During the same interview, Rathna Kumar shared his thoughts on the ‘Jana Nayagan’ leak, the film starring Thalapathy Vijay. He expressed, “It was heartbreaking to see the film leak. So many people poured their hard work into it, and to watch that being compromised like this is deeply painful. It feels like this has happened because of the hatred directed at one individual, but the consequences go far beyond that.” He added, “We often talk about the disappointment when a film doesn’t release on its scheduled date or even when a single show gets cancelled—but this is far worse. When an entire film is pirated and put out there, it feels as devastating as losing something you’ve nurtured and created with so much love, almost like losing a baby overnight.”
‘Leo 2’ Status
Rathna Kumar also spoke about the sequel of Vijay’s starrer ‘Leo’. He shared that there is no possibility for it at the moment. He stated, “There’s no possibility for Leo 2. It was scheduled after Kaithi 2 anyway, and that itself has not commenced yet. Let Leo’s OST be released first; then let’s talk about the sequel.”
‘AA23’ is expected to begin shooting this year, as Allu Arjun also shoots his next film ‘Raaka’ with Atlee. The music for ‘AA23’ is composed by Anirudh.
