Avantika Sundar Set for Malayalam Debut with 'Aarambham'
Avantika Sundar, the daughter of renowned actor Khushbu Sundar and acclaimed director Sundar C, is poised to make her highly anticipated entry into the Malayalam film industry. Her debut project, titled 'Aarambham', officially commenced production with a traditional puja ceremony held in Chavakkad, Thrissur. This marks a significant milestone in Avantika's burgeoning acting career, as she steps into the spotlight with a fresh slate in a new cinematic landscape.
Film Details and Production Kickoff
The upcoming film 'Aarambham' is being directed by Sujesh Annie Eapen, who brings his creative vision to this new venture. According to sources closely associated with the project, Avantika will portray a character named Arathi, adding depth to the narrative. The production team has planned an extensive shooting schedule across various picturesque locations in Kerala, including Kunnamkulam, Chavakkad, and Kollamkode, ensuring a visually captivating backdrop for the story.
Avantika's Journey and Family Support
Avantika recently completed an intensive acting course at a prestigious school in London, graduating with flying colors. In a statement from 2022, her mother Khushbu expressed pride in her daughter's achievements while emphasizing Avantika's independent spirit. "My elder one just finished her acting course with flying colors in one of the most prestigious acting schools in London. Her struggle starts now as she wants to make it on her own. So no, we won't be launching her or recommending her anywhere. She needs your blessings," Khushbu remarked.
In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, Avantika shared insights into her career approach. She acknowledged the advantages of her family background but stressed her desire to carve her own path. "I never thought that my parents should launch me. Personally, I didn’t want that, but I would also be lying if I said I’ll just wait for someone to come approach me or I’ll do it on my own. I think it would be wrong of me not to acknowledge that I have a leg up in the film industry thanks to who my parents are," she explained.
Avantika further elaborated, "My parents didn’t offer to launch me either. The thought is that I should do it on my own, and I do want to make it on my own. But yes, I do need help with getting connected to people since I have that advantage. And it would be wrong of me to say that I did it on my own - it wouldn’t be possible without their support." This balanced perspective highlights her commitment to authenticity and hard work in the competitive film industry.
