Ram Charan reveals pain after multiple body transformations for Peddi

Tollywood star Ram Charan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports action drama ‘Peddi’, which is arriving in theatres in June. During a promotional interview, the actor spoke openly about the difficult journey he faced while shooting the film. The actor also went on to share that the movie demanded many physical transformations and it was not easy at all.

Multiple Body Transformations

While Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana shared a ride together, he shared that Buchi Babu first wanted him to have a lean cricketer's body. Later, he was asked to gain a bulky body for kabaddi scenes. After that, he had to build a wrestler’s body too. Ram Charan said all these body types were completely different from each other and changing so quickly was very hard for him.

Ram Charan Talks About Pain

Ram Charan said, “For the torture you put me through to get all those bodies… first you asked for a cricketer’s body and then a wrestler’s body. They are both extremely different. A cricketer is lean, like how Tilak Varma or Hardik Pandya are. You asked for that body. Then after a few days, he needed a bulky body to play kabaddi. Then you told me to get a wrestler’s body.”

Buchi Babu Sana admitted he was nervous while asking the actor to go through such difficult transformations because there was very little time available for preparation. He praised Ram Charan for working very hard for every look in the film.

Even after facing so much strain, Ram Charan said he truly enjoyed the experience because he loves acting. But now, after the shoot ended, he is finally feeling the pain in his body. He revealed that even lifting his daughter is hurting his hand now and he may need an X-ray because of the wrestling scenes.

“Now that the shoot is over, pains are surfacing from everywhere. Even to lift my daughter, this hand hurts. I need to get an X-ray. Constantly grabbing during wrestling caused tremors. It did something to this hand,” he said.

Ram Charan Shooting with Real Wrestlers

The actor also revealed that he wanted real wrestlers in the film instead of actors. But the wrestlers used real fighting moves during shooting because they could not control their sports instincts. Ram Charan said they would apologise after every take because they were unable to act softly during the scenes.

Buchi Babu Sana added that he was constantly worried during those action portions because Ram Charan kept getting hurt while filming the wrestling sequences.

Actor Thanks God After Shoot

Ram Charan became emotional while speaking about the difficult climax fight and song shoot. “If it wasn’t for God, all those wrestling fights, climax fight, climax song… none of it would have been possible. We completed it without any major injury,” he added.

He said everything was completed safely only because of God’s grace. The actor also remembered injuries from his earlier films like ‘RRR’, ‘Rangasthalam’ and ‘Game Changer’.
