Kannada cinema's celebrated star, Kichcha Sudeep, is currently deep into the shooting of his much-anticipated new project, the film titled 'Mark'. The actor recently treated fans and media to some lighthearted behind-the-scenes glimpses, where he humorously called out his co-star, the popular actor-comedian Yogi Babu, for his uniquely fragmented shooting schedule.
A Collective Effort: The Making of 'Mark'
In a recent media interaction, Sudeep opened up about the collaborative spirit driving 'Mark'. He revealed that the film's core idea was a joint creation between him and the director, Vijay Karthikeyan. Emphasizing the team's dedication, Sudeep stated that the project's success is purely a result of the collective hard work from every unit member, leaving no space for any laziness on the sets. This highlights the film as a true ensemble effort.
Sudeep's Playful Dig at Yogi Babu's Hectic Calendar
The interaction took a hilarious turn when Sudeep pointed at Yogi Babu, labeling him the busiest person on the 'Mark' sets. He explained that Babu, due to his massive popularity, was juggling multiple film commitments simultaneously. "He had one leg on one set, another leg on another set, and his hands on a third set," Sudeep quipped.
Elaborating further with his signature wit, Sudeep said, "Yogi Babu sir comes in instalments. If you buy a vehicle, you only pay that money in instalments. Do you get the vehicle in instalments? This person comes in instalments." He painted a funny picture of the crew wrapping up a long night shoot, only to be called back because Yogi Babu had just arrived for his portion. "If we leave him, he will again go," Sudeep added, underscoring the comedian's tightrope walk between sets.
Valuing Talent: The Wait for Yogi Babu
Despite the scheduling quirks, Sudeep was all praise for Yogi Babu's professional prowess. When questioned, he clarified that the team patiently waited for the comedian because they consider him extremely talented and an asset to the film. This respect for his craft justifies the logistical adjustments made to accommodate him.
The film 'Mark' boasts a strong supporting cast that includes Roshini Prakash, Deepshika, Naveen Chandra, Guru Somasundaram, and Vikranth. While the shooting is progressing, the makers have not yet officially announced the release date for this multi-starrer.
