In her first detailed interview since a controversial exit, television actress Ashnoor Kaur has addressed the allegations that led to her elimination from the Bigg Boss 19 house. Speaking exclusively, Kaur firmly denied intentionally harming fellow contestant Tanya Mittal during a task and shed light on her close friendship with Abhishek Bajaj, describing it as a 'platonic love'.
Addressing the Allegations: "I Did Not Hit Her"
Ashnoor Kaur was eliminated from Bigg Boss 19 on December 2, 2025, following an incident of perceived physical aggression against Tanya Mittal. Breaking her silence, Kaur stated that her stance remains unchanged from what she expressed inside the house. She claimed that certain lines from her exit speech were edited out of the broadcast episode.
"People told me, 'You hit her,' but I did not accept that because I know I didn't," Kaur explained. She expressed regret, saying that had she known Mittal was genuinely hurt, she would have apologized immediately. Kaur attributed the confrontation to Mittal's dramatic nature, suggesting she was amplifying a minor issue. To defend her character, Kaur recalled instances where she showed concern for Mittal, such as when Farrhana broke a plate and during an emotional moment in 'Family Week'.
Family's Reaction and Questions on Eviction
The actress revealed that her parents were deeply upset by her eviction. Her mother, a long-time Bigg Boss viewer, felt the punishment was disproportionate, arguing that contestants typically receive warnings for similar incidents. While processing her own feelings, Kaur also reflected on the show's narrative. She noted that her group was frequently highlighted and questioned, hinting at possible selective editing to fuel drama, though she ultimately respects the makers' decisions as part of the game.
On Her Bond with Abhishek Bajaj: "A Platonic Love"
A significant part of the conversation revolved around her connection with co-contestant Abhishek Bajaj. Kaur described their instant and effortless camaraderie, highlighted by unintentional 'twinning' in their fashion choices, including a shared love for yellow flowers. She cherished that Bajaj was the first person to meet her after her eviction, calling it a testament to their sincere friendship.
Addressing speculation about their relationship, Ashnoor Kaur was clear. "It's 2025. A boy and a girl can simply be friends," she stated. She defined their bond as one of genuine appreciation, enjoyment, and deep mutual respect. "Of course, there's a platonic love between us... But beyond that? No, nothing else. We are simply good friends," she concluded, putting all rumours to rest.
