Kajal Pisal Brings Makar Sankranti Festivities to Television Set

Actress Kajal Pisal transformed an ordinary workday into a vibrant celebration of Makar Sankranti this year. The television star, currently appearing in the popular show Lakshmi Niwas, marked the festival right on her set. She turned the filming location into a space filled with traditional joy and warmth.

Sharing Sweets and Creating Special Moments

Kajal Pisal distributed tilgul and gajak among the cast and crew. These sweet treats spread happiness throughout the set. The actress explained that celebrating Makar Sankranti during work made the occasion even more memorable for her.

"We shared tilgul and gajak, spreading sweetness and joy all around," Kajal said. "Makar Sankranti instantly took me back to my childhood."

Nostalgic Childhood Memories of Kite Flying

The festival always reminds Kajal of her younger days. She grew up celebrating Makar Sankranti with her two brothers. Her brothers would ask her to hold the firki of their kites while they competed with friends.

"We would spend the entire day laughing, cheering and flying kites," she recalled with fondness. "Those moments created lasting memories of togetherness and pure happiness."

Blending Gujarati and Maharashtrian Traditions

As a Gujarati now living in Mumbai, Kajal Pisal incorporates traditions from both cultures into her celebrations. She prepares Undhiyu, a special winter dish made with seasonal vegetables like purple yam, beans and muthiyas.

"Earlier, my mother used to cook it in an earthen pot," Kajal shared. "With our busy schedules now, I make it the regular way, but the taste and sentiment remain the same."

She has also adopted Maharashtrian customs since moving to Mumbai. Kajal learned to make Puran Poli, a sweet flatbread stuffed with chana dal and jaggery.

"I cook Puran Poli too," she added. "It has become a festival favourite for me, adding another layer of sweetness to our celebrations."

The Essence of Makar Sankranti for Kajal

For Kajal Pisal, Makar Sankranti represents warmth, bonding and cherished memories. The actress has appeared in several television shows including Jhanak, Sirf Tum, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.

"Makar Sankranti has always been about togetherness, happiness and sweet memories," she emphasized. "Celebrating it this way on set truly warmed my heart and brought everyone closer."

Her on-set celebration demonstrated how traditional festivals can create special moments even during busy work schedules. Kajal successfully blended her professional commitments with personal festive traditions.
