Mridula Oberoi to Mark Lohri with Work and Familiar Faces on Set
Television actress Mridula Oberoi plans to celebrate Lohri this year in a unique way. She will spend the festival on a working note, currently engaged in shooting for a project. A Special Start to 2026 with Festival on Set
Mridula Oberoi shares her thoughts on this year's Lohri celebration. She says that Lohri has always held a special place in her heart. For her, festivals truly come alive when she is either working or spending quality time with her son.
"This year, 2026 begins beautifully with my first festival finding me on set, doing what I love the most—and that itself feels like a blessing," Mridula explains. She expresses deep gratitude for the universe, which she believes guides her toward growth both professionally and as a human being.
Working with an Old Crew Feels Like Family Reunion
What makes this Lohri more meaningful for Mridula is the familiarity on the set. She reveals that she is working with an old crew, people she has shared journeys with in the past.
"It feels more like a family reunion than work," she shares. This sense of camaraderie adds a warm touch to her festival celebrations away from home.
Embracing Life While Missing Home Traditions
While Mridula admits to missing traditional Lohri celebrations with her family, she has learned to embrace life as it comes. She fondly recalls the Lohri fire, kites, moongfali and gachak that mark the festival at home.
"Of course, I miss celebrating Lohri with my family," she says. "But I've learned to embrace life as it comes."

Mridula also finds solace in knowing that her family feels happy about her situation. They take comfort in the fact that she is not alone on festival days.
"My family feels happy knowing that on festival days I'm not alone, but surrounded by people and purpose," she states. This mutual understanding strengthens her resolve to celebrate with positivity and gratitude.
