Television actor Naman Shaw has returned to Mumbai after wrapping up a significant international filming schedule for the popular show Mangal Lakshmi. Shaw, who essays the role of Adit Saxena, flew back with the cast and crew after completing a special storyline shoot in the picturesque country of Georgia.
A Long-Awaited and Beautiful Trip
In a recent conversation, Shaw revealed that this overseas schedule was highly anticipated. "This Georgia trip was actually pending since last year," he shared. "We were supposed to go, but it didn't happen then. Luckily, this time it did, and it turned out to be a great trip." The actor was particularly enchanted by the visual appeal of the location, especially during the festive season. He added, "The city was gorgeous, especially with the Christmas lights—it looked really beautiful."
Battling the Cold for the Perfect Shot
While the scenery was stunning, the weather posed a significant challenge for the team. Shaw described the conditions as intense, with freezing temperatures and strong winds. However, being a self-professed winter lover, he took it in his stride. "It was freezing and windy, but winters are my thing, so I didn't mind," he stated. The real test came during filming, where maintaining composure was key. "Shooting in that cold was challenging, though—no caps, no gloves in front of the camera. You really have to concentrate and not look uncomfortable while delivering your shots," Shaw explained, highlighting the dedication required for the craft.
Exploring Georgia Beyond the Sets
Fortunately, the shooting schedule was designed to allow the team some leisure time. With mostly day shifts ending by 6 PM, the evenings were free for exploration. Shaw mentioned enjoying the local culture and cuisine with his co-star. "The shoot was quite relaxed, mostly day shifts. We'd pack up by 6 pm, and then it was party time. Urvashi ji and I would explore the city and try local food every evening," he said. The actor also indulged in shopping for souvenirs and a quintessential Georgian experience—wine tasting. "I picked up souvenirs for friends and family, and Georgia's wine was definitely a highlight. Explored wine cellars and tasted quite a few," Shaw recounted, capping off a memorable and productive international schedule for the television show.
