Navein Prakaashh joins Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi cast

The iconic television saga of the Virani family is welcoming a fresh face to its fold. Actor Navein Prakaashh has officially joined the cast of the rebooted version of the legendary show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. He steps into the role of Dev Virani, adding a new chapter to the beloved family drama headlined by original stars Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay.

Stepping into the Virani Legacy

Navein Prakaashh, recognized for his performance in Sapnon Ki Chhalaang, is thrilled to be part of the show's enduring legacy. His character, Dev Virani, is described as a carefree individual who prioritizes enjoyment over hard work. In the family tree, Dev is the son of Sahil Virani (played by Sandeep Baswana) and Ganga (played by Shilpa Saklani), characters who were pivotal in the original series.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Navein shared that it feels surreal to be part of such a historic show. "I had manifested working with Ekta ma'am, and I'm truly delighted that it has happened," he revealed, highlighting a dream come true to collaborate with producer Ekta Kapoor.

Connecting with the Past, Building the Future

While Navein admits he hasn't personally watched the classic love story of his on-screen parents, Sahil and Ganga, he has a personal connection to it. "My mother used to follow the show closely, and she's told me all about it," he said. This familial link adds a layer of personal significance to his role.

He is optimistic about the growth of his character, drawing parallels to the journey of Sahil and Ganga. "I really feel that, like them, even my role will grow and become more promising. I'm hopeful of receiving the same love from the audience as the track progresses," Navein added, expressing his desire to win viewers' hearts.

A New Generation for a New Era

The revival of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was designed to introduce a new generation to the audience, featuring actors like Rohit Suchanti, Tanisha Mehta, Shagun Sharma, and Aman Gandhi. The narrative recently took a dramatic six-year leap, a common trope in Indian television to refresh storylines.

This leap has ushered in a wave of fresh faces, including Swati Sharma and Alfiya Khan, further expanding the complex web of relationships within the Virani family saga. Navein Prakaashh's entry as Dev Virani is a key part of this ongoing expansion, ensuring the legacy continues to evolve for both loyal fans and new viewers.
