Sachin Tyagi Opens Up About His Anupamaa Journey and Industry Insights

In an exclusive interview with Times of India TV, actor Sachin Tyagi, who recently joined the cast of the popular show Anupamaa, shared heartfelt details about his unexpected role and experiences on set. Expressing immense happiness, Tyagi described the opportunity as unreal and a perfect chance to showcase his talent, emphasizing his commitment to making the most of it.

Surprise Role and Gratitude

Tyagi revealed that there was a gap of approximately 10 months between his previous role in Yeh Rishta and this new part in Anupamaa. During this interval, he worked on a project with Isha from DKP before being approached for the show. He admitted that the offer came as a complete surprise, especially after taking on certain types of roles that didn't typically lead to such opportunities. I feel very grateful, he stated, noting that even now, the experience feels surreal, like life has granted him another significant opportunity.

Praise for Rupali Ganguly

Discussing his co-star Rupali Ganguly, Tyagi praised her for portraying the role of Anupamaa with exceptional efficiency. He highlighted how her career trajectory serves as an inspiration, pointing out that after her brilliant performance in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, she may not have received roles that fully showcased her talent until Anupamaa came along. She was around 40 when she got that role, and it completely changed everything for her, he remarked, adding that he cannot imagine anyone else doing it better and feels a similar sense of destiny in his own casting.

Landing a Lead Role at 51

At 51 years old, Tyagi emphasized the special nature of bagging such an important, central character in television, where actors often start playing parental roles much earlier. Getting such a lead role at this stage is very special, he said, drawing parallels to Ganguly's journey and expressing hope that he, too, can do justice to the opportunity and meet his own expectations.

Staying Relevant in the Industry

On the topic of maintaining relevance in the competitive television industry, Tyagi acknowledged that actors have limited control, relying heavily on writers, channels, and producers for opportunities. All we can do is take care of ourselves, stay fit, and not lose hope when good opportunities don't come our way, he explained. He stressed the importance of being fully prepared to seize chances when they arise, a philosophy he has always tried to follow to make the most of his career.

Overall, Sachin Tyagi's reflections offer a candid look into the challenges and triumphs of acting, highlighting the unpredictability of roles and the perseverance required to succeed in the entertainment world.
