She expresses that if Unnati's journey can inspire even one domestic violence survivor to feel stronger, she would consider her work meaningful.
Sehaj Rrajput's Emotional Journey
Sehaj reveals, "Playing such intense and emotionally heavy scenes has impacted me deeply as an actor and as a person. There was a moment during the shoot where I completely broke down, especially in scenes where my character felt hopeless and trapped, even though hope was right in front of her. I cried so much that my eyes became swollen, and it was hard to emotionally detach from the character's helplessness. In fact, I felt so immersed in the disturbing emotions that I even felt distant from my co-actor Puneet at one point."
The actress adds, "At the same time, this journey made me more empathetic towards women who experience domestic violence and emotional abuse in real life. I want women to know that no matter how bad life gets, there is always hope and inner strength to fight back. Women are incredibly strong, and sometimes it just takes time to realize that inner power. If my character can inspire just one person not to give up on life and to keep believing in themselves, I will feel I have accomplished something meaningful as an actor."
