Actress Shivya Pathania, known for her role in 'Ek Rishta Sajhedari', is set to host a new reality show titled 'Spectra'. This family-friendly series, produced by Harsh Mainra, is built around the concept of 'No Drama. No Fight. Only Fundamentally Right.' The show follows seven master artists as they travel across the Himalayas, engaging in creative journeys rather than competitive challenges.
Shivya Pathania's Unique Hosting Experience
Speaking about her experience, Shivya shared, 'I've been fortunate to be part of projects that connected with audiences, but Spectra feels different. I wasn't guiding competition; I was witnessing journeys. It required a lot more listening than speaking and being present in moments rather than directing them.' She emphasized the show's calming nature, adding, 'It doesn't try to compete for attention. It invites you to slow down, feel, and connect. No drama, no fights, just fundamentally right.'
Approach to Contestants
Talking about the contestants, Shivya noted, 'We approached the contestants as individuals, not participants. Off camera, especially, it was important to create a space where they felt safe enough to just be themselves. When people express themselves through art, you see parts of them they may not even say out loud. That honesty stays with you.'
Producer's Vision
Producer Harsh Mainra explained that the concept emerged from a 'fatigue with noise.' He said, 'We're surrounded by content that constantly demands reaction, but very little that allows reflection. With Spectra, we didn't want to remove drama for the sake of it; we wanted to replace it with depth.'
Filming in the Himalayas
Reflecting on filming in the mountains, Shivya concluded, 'There's a certain stillness there that changes you. You stop performing, even unknowingly, and just start being. Some of the most powerful moments were when nothing was being said, just felt.'
