Shreyas Talpade Denies Bigg Boss Marathi 6 Rumours

Ahead of the grand premiere of Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6, popular actor Shreyas Talpade has firmly dismissed widespread reports suggesting his participation in the highly-anticipated reality show. The actor labelled the rumours as completely false and baseless.

Shreyas Talpade's Strong Denial

When approached for confirmation regarding his speculated entry into the Riteish Deshmukh-hosted show, Shreyas Talpade gave a clear rebuttal. "These are false, baseless rumours…not true at all," the actor stated emphatically. He further expressed his frustration, noting that actors often become easy targets for such speculative news. "Unfortunately, actors are the softest of targets, and some people will do anything to gain traction," Talpade told Zoom.

This denial puts an end to the fervent speculation surrounding the celebrated star of both Marathi and Hindi cinema, indicating he is not venturing into the reality TV space with this season.

Rumoured Contestants for Season 6

With the show's launch just around the corner, an intriguing list of potential housemates is making the rounds. Interestingly, the new season might feature several former contestants from the Hindi version of Bigg Boss.

The speculated names include:

  • Vishal Kotian (Ex-Bigg Boss Hindi contestant)
  • Raqesh Bapat (Ex-Bigg Boss Hindi contestant)
  • Tejasswi Prakash (Ex-Bigg Boss Hindi winner, though her participation is unlikely due to prior commitments)
  • Social media influencer Karan Sonawane
  • Actor Sagar Karande

Other names circulating are Sonali Raut, Prajakta Shukre, Sanket Pathak, Anushree Mane, Deepali Sayyed, Radha Mumbaikar, and Rasika Jamsudkar. The makers, however, have maintained secrecy about the final confirmed list.

Premiere Date, Theme, and Host's Strategy

Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 is set for its grand premiere on Sunday, 11th January. The show will air daily at 8 PM on Colors Marathi and the streaming platform Jio Hotstar. This marks the second consecutive season to be hosted by the versatile actor Riteish Deshmukh.

This year, the show will revolve around a captivating "heaven and hell" theme. Contestants will reportedly open a door to decide their fate, landing them in either a privileged 'heaven' section with more power or a challenging 'hell' section where they must overcome obstacles.

Speaking about his hosting role, Riteish Deshmukh shared his approach at a press conference. He emphasized the distinct identity of the Marathi version and described himself as a reactive host. "I have not done any preparations. I am a reactive personality, so based on the actions, I will have reactions," he said. He also acknowledged the pressures of hosting but trusts the creative team to counter any pre-planned strategies from contestants.

As the countdown to the premiere begins, the audience is left to wonder which of the rumoured faces will ultimately enter the controversial house, now confirmed not to include Shreyas Talpade.
