Tarun Khanna Returns as Lord Shiva in Upcoming Divine Dramedy Hey Bhagwaan

Indian television is set to welcome a unique blend of mythology and contemporary storytelling with the upcoming show Hey Bhagwaan – Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan! The series promises to deliver a warm, witty divine dramedy that skillfully merges slice-of-life humor with a gentle mythological perspective.

Divine Casting and Character Dynamics

Leading the celestial charge is actor Tarun Khanna, who is all set to reprise his powerful role as Lord Shiva, also known as Mahadev. Sharing the screen with him is talented actor Jayshankar Tripathi, who portrays the character of Mahesh Sharma, an honest lawyer based in the spiritual city of Ujjain.

Speaking enthusiastically about the show's premise and his character, Jayshankar Tripathi reveals, "Mahesh Sharma is an honest lawyer in Ujjain who always speaks the truth, no matter the situation. His unwavering honesty frequently lands him in awkward and amusing circumstances—whether at home with family, among colleagues, or even in the courtroom. Despite facing losses or discomfort, he steadfastly chooses the path of truth. When Shiv Bhagwan descends to be with him, their journey becomes both heartwarming and humorous, gently conveying messages of kindness, truth, and understanding."

Reuniting On Screen After Previous Collaboration

This marks the second collaboration between Jayshankar Tripathi and Tarun Khanna. The two actors previously worked together on a special episode of the popular crime awareness series Savdhaan India. Recalling their earlier experience, Jayshankar shares fond memories, "It was a 10-day outdoor shoot in Madhya Pradesh, and we bonded very well. Tarun is a fine artiste. Both of us come from a theatre background and continue to stay connected to the stage. He is very grounded and always supports his co-actors. I hope the same comfort and understanding carries forward into this show. The bhakt and bhagwan pairing will look very organic."

Personal Connection and Show's Message

Jayshankar Tripathi also opened up about his personal connection with the character of Mahesh Sharma, expressing how deeply the role resonates with him. He elaborates, "The character is very close to my heart. There are noticeable similarities between Mahesh Sharma and me, which makes it easier to understand and portray him honestly. In today's fast-paced world, people are gradually drifting apart instead of staying connected. This show serves as a beautiful reminder of the strength and beauty of human connection. I am confident audiences will relate to its story and find it both entertaining and meaningful."

The show Hey Bhagwaan – Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan! aims to offer viewers a refreshing take on divine narratives, blending humor with heartfelt moments while exploring themes of truth, kindness, and human relationships through its unique mythological lens.
