Television's Beloved Couple Finally Ties the Knot

In a heartwarming development that has delighted fans across India, popular television actors Sandeep Baswana and Ashlesha Sawant have officially married after spending 23 years together. The couple, best known for their roles in the iconic show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony that marks a new chapter in their long-standing relationship.

A Dreamy Vrindavan Wedding

The wedding took place on November 16, 2025, at the serene Chandrodaya temple in Vrindavan. Choosing to keep their special day intimate and meaningful, the couple opted for a simple ceremony attended only by their immediate families. The location held special significance for Sandeep and Ashlesha, who had visited Vrindavan earlier in April and felt a deep spiritual connection with the Radha Krishna temples there.

Speaking to Bombay Times after the wedding, Sandeep revealed, "Ashlesha and I visited Vrindavan in April and felt a deep connect with the Radha Krishna temples there. That trip inspired us to get married after being together for 23 years. Our parents are the happiest — they've been waiting for this for a long time."

Stunning Wedding Attire and Social Media Announcement

The couple made a striking pair, both dressed in elegant pink traditional attire. Ashlesha looked radiant in a beautiful pink saree with a matching dupatta, complemented by subtle golden jewelry and minimal makeup. Sandeep complemented his bride perfectly in a pink kurta pyjama with Nehru coat and matching pagdi, creating a picture-perfect traditional look.

They announced their marriage on social media with a series of enchanting photographs from their wedding day. Their caption captured the emotion of the moment perfectly: "And just like that, we stepped into a new chapter as Mr & Mrs…Tradition found its way into our hearts. We are filled with gratitude for all the blessings."

Overwhelming Response from Industry Friends

As soon as the wedding photos were shared online, the couple was flooded with congratulatory messages from their colleagues and friends in the entertainment industry. Ashlesha's Jhanak co-star expressed overwhelming excitement, writing: "I CANTTTT YOU GUYS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL ??????"

Other television personalities including Anjum Fakih, Kishwer Merchant, Supriya Shukla, Disha Parmar, and Pooja Banerjee also showered the couple with love and blessings, filling the comments section with warm wishes and heart emojis.

A Journey of 23 Years Together

Ashlesha and Sandeep have long been considered one of television's most steady and committed couples. They first met on the sets of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi back in 2002 and have been together ever since. Despite their long relationship, they never felt pressured to marry, choosing instead to focus on their individual growth while supporting each other's careers and personal journeys.

Ashlesha described their decision to marry as organic and spontaneous: "I feel extreme happiness and gratitude that I am finally married to the love of my life. Vrindavan was the ideal place — we felt a deep connection when we visited. It was an organic, sudden decision, and we chose to keep it private with just our families."

Sandeep humorously addressed their long unmarried relationship, saying: "We were tired of answering questions about why we weren't getting married despite being together for so many years. In my mind, Ashlesha and I were always married."

When asked about how it feels to be officially married after so many years together, Sandeep shared: "I don't feel anything different. It was something we were going to do someday, and it finally happened. We're happy, and overwhelmed by the love and blessings."

The couple's journey from co-stars to life partners and now officially as husband and wife serves as an inspiring love story in the entertainment industry, proving that true commitment transcends formalities while celebrating the beauty of making things official when the time feels right.
