Vikrant Massey, known for his role in '12th Fail', expressed his excitement about playing a different character in the upcoming series 'Pritam and Pedro', directed by Avinash Arun. The actor admitted he was tired of portraying the 'boy next door' and is grateful for the opportunity to step into the shoes of an anti-hero in the Rajkumar Hirani-created series.
Vikrant Massey on His Role in 'Pritam and Pedro'
At the trailer launch, Massey shared, 'Like everyone says, even if we get one passing shot or scene in Hirani-verse, it's more than enough. I am very excited for the show. Also, the good man turn bad or anti-hero... I was sick of playing village boy or the next door boy. Finally, sir (Hirani) has given me a chance. In Hirani-verse, antagonists are not conventional. It's the same with Martin.'
The series also stars Arshad Warsi, Vir Hirani, and Mona Singh. 'Pritam and Pedro' revolves around mismatched men caught in a cyber crime mystery filled with humor and twists.
Cyber Crime Relevance
Massey, 39, noted the series addresses a relevant topic. He shared personal experiences of being a cyber crime victim, including hacked emails and unauthorized bank deductions. 'It's such a relevant topic; I think everyone has become a victim of it. It's entertaining, and you will also see the human side of Martin,' he added.
The series will stream on a popular digital platform starting July 3.
