"I need to add value to the script," Khanvilkar asserted. "Today, every director and writer has their own signature style. That matters greatly to me. I ask myself: Will this story move forward if my character is absent? If it does, then my character lacks importance. That's my basic rule."
The actor acknowledged that casting decisions sometimes feel like personal gambles. However, she finds the risk worthwhile when working with dedicated creators.
"I cannot trust anybody blindly; it's a little gamble you play with yourself," she explained. "But when makers like Neeraj Pandey develop characters with such care and do them justice, it becomes amazing. He never adds characters just for the sake of having them."

"Of course, my mom is not someone who will kick somebody's behind," she said with a smile. "But she has lived her entire life with the strength of an iron woman. That resilience has always inspired me."
