Prince Andrew Faces Fresh Allegations in Epstein Scandal as New Documents Emerge
Prince Andrew Faces New Epstein Allegations After Document Release

The shadow of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein has once again fallen heavily upon Britain's disgraced Prince Andrew, with a second woman coming forward to allege that Epstein sent her to the United Kingdom specifically for a sexual encounter with the former royal. This latest claim, reported by the BBC, surfaces amidst a fresh and substantial release of documents by the US Justice Department, reopening painful public debate over Andrew's long-questioned and controversial links to the convicted sex offender.

Alleged Encounter at Windsor and Buckingham Palace Visit

According to Brad Edwards, a lawyer from the Florida-based firm Edwards Henderson who represents the woman, the alleged encounter occurred in 2010. It is said to have taken place at Prince Andrew's residence on the Windsor estate, located west of London, when the woman was in her twenties. Edwards told the BBC that Epstein, who was already a convicted sex offender at that time, arranged the entire trip to Britain.

"We're talking about at least one woman who was sent by Jeffrey Epstein over to Prince Andrew," Edwards stated emphatically. He further detailed that after spending the night with Andrew, his client was allegedly given a private tour of Buckingham Palace, adding a layer of royal privilege to the disturbing account.

Edwards confirmed there had been communications between his client and Prince Andrew prior to the alleged meeting. He is actively considering filing a civil lawsuit on her behalf. The lawyer, who reportedly represents more than 200 survivors of Epstein's abuse, has not provided additional comment beyond his initial statements. Prince Andrew, for his part, has consistently and vehemently denied any wrongdoing in connection with Jeffrey Epstein.

Claims Follow Release of New Epstein Documents

This new allegation emerged shortly after the US Justice Department released a significant tranche of previously undisclosed material related to the Epstein investigations. Among these documents were photographs described as showing Prince Andrew kneeling over a woman lying on a floor. Additionally, emails exchanged between Epstein and Andrew in 2010 were revealed.

These emails reportedly included proposals from Epstein for Andrew to dine with a "beautiful, trustworthy" 26-year-old Russian woman. This revelation adds considerable weight to the renewed pressure on the former prince, suggesting a pattern of introduction to young women facilitated by Epstein.

Even before this latest claim, the document release had reignited forceful calls for Prince Andrew to cooperate fully with American authorities. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has publicly stated that Andrew should accept requests to testify before the US Congress regarding Epstein's extensive crimes and network.

Echoes of Earlier Accusations by Virginia Giuffre

The latest account arrives more than a decade after the initial, highly publicized allegations by another Epstein accuser, Virginia Giuffre. Giuffre, a US and Australian citizen who tragically died by suicide last year, had alleged that she was trafficked by Epstein to have sex with Prince Andrew on three separate occasions, including twice when she was just 17 years old.

Andrew reached a multi-million-pound settlement with Giuffre in 2022, though he did not admit guilt as part of the agreement. The renewed attention to her claims prompted King Charles III to strip his brother, Prince Andrew, of his remaining royal titles and military honours late last year, a decisive move to distance the monarchy from the scandal.

A Relationship That Outlived Epstein's Conviction

Critics and observers have long highlighted the troubling nature of Prince Andrew's continued association with Jeffrey Epstein, even after the financier pleaded guilty in Florida in 2008 to soliciting a minor for prostitution. This association persisted until Epstein's death by suicide in a New York jail in 2019, where he was awaiting trial on federal charges related to the sex trafficking of minors.

Prince Andrew had already withdrawn from all public duties in 2019 following a widely criticized television interview in which he attempted to explain his friendship with Epstein. The combination of this new allegation, the released documents, and the historical accusations paints a damning picture of a royal figure whose legacy is now inextricably linked to one of the most notorious sex crime cases in modern history.
