Ahmedabad CHC Surgeons Remove Sebaceous Cyst from Farmer

Ahmedabad: In a significant achievement for municipal healthcare, doctors at the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation-run Thaltej Community Health Centre (CHC) successfully performed a sebaceous cyst surgery on a 45-year-old livestock farmer from Thaltej village on Monday.

Patient's Condition

The patient, Samat Bharwad, had been experiencing a gradually enlarging lump on the back of his right shoulder for some time. The swelling had started interfering with his daily activities, prompting him to seek medical attention at the CHC.

Diagnosis and Procedure

Upon examination, the medical team diagnosed the lump as a sebaceous cyst, a fatty swelling that can arise due to infection, injury, or other underlying causes. The surgical removal of the cyst took nearly an hour, and the procedure was completed successfully.
