ESIC Jaipur Free Health Check-Up for Insured Aged 40+

The Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College and Hospital in Jaipur has launched a free annual health check-up programme for insured individuals aged 40 and above, aligning with new labour laws. The initiative began on Thursday and includes comprehensive diagnostic tests such as diabetes screening, blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol checks, anaemia tests, ECG, and chest X-rays. This programme aims to provide regular health monitoring and will be conducted daily at no cost to participants.

Launch Event and Initial Response

On the first day of the annual health check-up programme, ESIC conducted tests for 300 beneficiaries who are insured persons above 40 years of age. The scheme was inaugurated at an event held at ESI Hospital in Jaipur, attended by Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar.

Minister's Remarks on Health Awareness

Khimsar stated that in today's fast-paced life, people often neglect their health, with women being particularly affected. He noted that many women fail to prioritise their well-being, leading to serious conditions such as cervical cancer, which can sometimes be fatal. The central government is already providing the HPV vaccine free of charge to girls across the country to protect against cervical cancer.
