Yesterday, he celebrated one of the biggest moments of his life — his graduation walk from Golden Gate University. None of us imagined that would be our last day with him.'

The fundraiser description added: 'Mohammad came to the US with big dreams and worked incredibly hard for his future and for his family back in India. He was kind, humble, caring, and always there for his friends. His sudden loss has completely shattered everyone who knew him.'

Financial support needed

'We are now trying to raise funds to help send his body back to India so his family can see him one last time and perform his final rites. The family is from a lower-middle-class background, and this support would also help ease the burden of his educational loans and unexpected expenses during this heartbreaking time,' the fundraiser stated.

According to reports, Shaik hailed from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, India. His untimely death has left his family and friends in deep shock.
