CM Sai Leads Yoga Day Celebrations in Ambikapur
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the state-level International Yoga Day programme in Ambikapur on 21 June 2026, urging citizens to make yoga a part of their daily lives to contribute to building a healthy society. The event, organized by the Chhattisgarh government, saw participation from thousands of yoga enthusiasts, officials, and schoolchildren.
Call for Daily Yoga Practice
In his address, Chief Minister Sai emphasized the transformative power of yoga for physical and mental well-being. The programme commenced at 6:00 AM at the Ambikapur Sports Complex, where participants performed a series of asanas and breathing exercises led by certified yoga instructors. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare and the Ministry of AYUSH. More than 5,000 people, including government employees, students, and members of local yoga clubs, took part in the session.
