Jaipur: The district administration has called upon parents and the general public to actively engage in the HPV vaccination programme, which aims to protect young girls from cervical cancer. District Collector Sandesh Nayak emphasized that the vaccine is safe, effective, and certified by the World Health Organization. It is being provided free of charge to girls aged 14 to 15 at health centres across the district.
Vaccine Details and Requirements
Officials confirmed that the HPV vaccine is administered as a single dose and is highly beneficial for young girls. To receive the vaccination, proof of age such as an Aadhaar card, school ID, or marksheet is necessary. In cases where these documents are unavailable, age verification can be completed through a consent letter from parents or guardians, as per an official release issued on Thursday.

The collector also cautioned against rumours and misinformation surrounding the vaccine, stating that it has no serious side effects and offers over 95% protection against cervical cancer. He urged the community to rely on verified information and participate in the programme to safeguard the health of adolescent girls.
