Man Arrested for Sexually Abusing Stray Dog in Malad West, Mumbai

A 45-year-old man was arrested by the Malwani Police for allegedly sexually abusing a stray dog on a pavement in Malad West recently. The incident took place outside a veterinarian's clinic, and the clinic staff alerted the authorities.

According to a statement from an animal handler at the clinic, the incident occurred late on April 26. The clinic was crowded at the time. A resident named Ruksana Shaikh had visited the clinic with her pet cat for treatment. Around 11:30 pm, Shaikh left the clinic with her cat. Soon after, the animal handler heard Shaikh raise an alarm and rushed outside. Shaikh pointed out a man who was sexually abusing a dog on the pavement. The dog, named Shadow, belonged to a dairy owner whose shop was located nearby.

Shaikh and the animal handler confronted the man, but he yelled at them and claimed that the dog did not belong to them. The dog was yelping in pain. The clinic staff then called the dairy owner, and one of them alerted the police.
