The victim, identified as Dharamveer Singh, was a marginal farmer who succumbed to fatal electric shocks while attempting to fix a malfunctioning power transformer.

According to local residents, Dharamveer Singh was allegedly persuaded by villagers to climb the transformer to address a technical fault. This action was taken without obtaining any prior permission or authorization from Powercom officials, the state electricity board responsible for such repairs. During the repair attempt, he suffered a severe electric shock, leading to immediate critical injuries.
He was quickly rushed to a nearby private hospital in an effort to save his life. However, medical professionals at the facility declared him brought dead upon arrival, indicating that the electrocution had caused irreversible damage.
Family and Background of the Deceased
Pargat Singh, a relative of the deceased, provided further insight into the tragic event. He mentioned that Dharamveer was at home attending to his daily work when he received a call requesting him to repair a power fault. In response, he went to the site, where the fatal accident occurred.
Dharamveer Singh had been married for three years and is survived by his wife and a two-year-old daughter. As a marginal farmer, he was the primary breadwinner for his family, making this loss particularly devastating for his loved ones and the local community.
