A tragic incident occurred at MGM Medical College in Kishanganj, where a second-year MBBS student was discovered hanging in her hostel room late Friday evening, sparking concern across the campus. The deceased has been identified as Anushka Jain, a 24-year-old native of Ara in Bhojpur district. Her father, Anil Kumar, is a doctor by profession.

Upon receiving the news, Kishanganj District Magistrate Vishal Raj and Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar arrived at the scene along with a police team. They assessed the situation and issued necessary directives to the officials involved in the investigation.

Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Manglesh Kumar provided details about the case. He stated, "The body has been sent to Kishanganj Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination, and the family has been informed about the incident. The hostel room has been sealed to facilitate forensic analysis. The college administration, batchmates, and other individuals present on the campus are being questioned to gather further information."
