A high-level delegation from the Meghalaya National Health Mission conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing strategies implemented by the Andhra Pradesh health department under the Anaemia Mukt Bharat programme this week. The NHM delegation, led by prominent officials including Dr Noverina Marak and Badonder Shilla, embarked on detailed field inspections across key health infrastructure sites. On Monday, the team visited a high school and an urban health centre located in Mangalagiri, observing firsthand the implementation of anaemia prevention measures at the community level.
The delegation's schedule extended into Tuesday with planned visits to anganwadi centres and primary health centres, demonstrating their commitment to examining the programme across multiple tiers of the healthcare delivery system.

Beyond field visits, Meghalaya officials organized a special meeting with programme implementation and monitoring officers from the Andhra Pradesh health and family welfare department.
