Teen Injured After Bee Attack While Plucking Fruits

A 17-year-old boy sustained injuries after being attacked by a swarm of bees while attempting to climb and pluck fruits from a jamun tree in Wagle Estate on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 4:30 pm in the ITI Colony area on Road No. 27, Wagle Estate. The teenager had climbed the tree but panicked when bees attacked him. In his haste to avoid the stings, he lost his foothold and slipped, becoming stuck between the branches.

Rescue Operation

His cries for help attracted bystanders, who alerted rescue officials. Yasin Tadvi, in-charge at the Thane Regional Disaster Management Cell, confirmed that the team rushed to the spot and safely brought the boy down. The teenager suffered injuries from bee stings and was shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment.

The boy was attempting to pluck fruits from the jamun tree when the swarm attacked. The rescue operation was swift, with officials using ladders and safety equipment to extricate the teen. No other injuries were reported. Authorities have advised caution when climbing trees, especially during bee activity periods.
