A tragic incident occurred in Barmer city on Tuesday, where a senior veterinary doctor lost his life due to electrocution. The doctor, identified as Dr. Chatraram (48), was supervising construction work at his plot in Baldev Nagar, under the RIICO police station area, when the accident took place.

Details of the Incident

According to Head Constable Goma Ram, Dr. Chatraram was overseeing the unloading of a gravel truck for the construction of a boundary wall. He climbed atop the truck to inspect the load when his hand accidentally came into contact with a live overhead electric wire. He collapsed immediately and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Victim's Background

Dr. Chatraram, a native of Bhojasar Baytu, was residing in Ram Nagar, Barmer. He had been promoted about one and a half months ago and was posted at Shivkar Veterinary Hospital. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and a son.
