A viral video showing a woman running on a busy road while carrying a burning object has prompted Airport police in Ahmedabad to register an FIR and launch an investigation. According to the complaint filed by constable Niteshkumar Hanuman on Thursday, police personnel at the Surveillance Squad police chowki noticed the video on a social media platform around 12:30 pm.

Incident Details

The video depicts a woman dressed in a red sari-like outfit with a white cloth covering her head, running on a public road while holding a burning object. Concerned that the act could endanger motorists, pedestrians, and other road users, officers immediately alerted senior officials and began verifying the location. Preliminary inquiry revealed that the incident likely occurred on the stretch of road connecting Airport Circle and Jhanda Circle in the city.

Legal Action

Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions related to negligent conduct involving fire or combustible matter. The woman's identity remains unknown. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from the area and analyzing the viral video to establish the circumstances and trace the woman. Police stated that further action will be taken once her identity and motive are determined. Officers are also verifying whether the incident caused any traffic disruption or posed an immediate threat to public safety.
