SGPGI Lucknow Hosts Major Conference on Robotics in Pediatric Surgery
The Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow is set to host a significant three-day conclave beginning this Friday, focusing on the rapidly growing importance of robotics in pediatric surgery. Faculty members from the Department of Pediatric Surgical Super Specialties have revealed that their team has successfully performed more than 170 complex pediatric surgeries since 2022. Dr. Basant Kumar, a prominent faculty member, emphasized that many of these procedures have established new benchmarks in medical practice.
"We have undertaken more than 170 complex paediatric surgeries since 2022 and some of these procedures have become a benchmark," stated Dr. Kumar. "The conference aims at sharing our experience with the fraternity for larger social interest. In addition, the conclave will serve as a platform for exchange of knowledge."
