TTD Inaugurates First Aid Centre on Alipiri-Tirumala Trek Route for 30,000 Daily Pilgrims
New TTD First Aid Centre Opens on Alipiri-Tirumala Trek Route

In a significant move to enhance pilgrim safety, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has established a new first aid centre along the popular Alipiri-Tirumala footpath. The facility was officially inaugurated on Sunday at the strategic 7th-mile intersection.

Leadership Inaugurates Vital Facility

The new medical centre was jointly opened by TTD chairman B R Naidu, along with executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal and additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary. This initiative underscores the temple administration's commitment to the well-being of the millions who undertake the arduous pilgrimage on foot.

Addressing the Needs of Thousands of Daily Trekkers

According to TTD officials, an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 devotees trek up to the hill shrine every day using the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu pedestrian routes. While a first aid centre was previously set up on the Srivari Mettu path, the new centre on the Alipiri route fills a critical gap in medical infrastructure, ensuring help is readily available on both major trekking paths.

Appeal to Devotees and Enhanced Safety

TTD authorities have made a direct appeal to all pilgrims. They urge any devotee who feels unwell or faces health issues during the climb to immediately approach the first aid centre for necessary medical treatment. After receiving care, pilgrims can then safely continue their journey to the sacred temple.

This proactive step is expected to significantly improve the safety net for the massive number of people, including the elderly and those with health conditions, who undertake the trek as an act of devotion. It marks a continued effort by TTD to balance spiritual tradition with modern necessities of healthcare and emergency response.
