The city of Chandigarh witnessed a heartbreaking series of events as three residents, including a teenage girl, died by suicide in separate incidents within a span of few hours. The victims have been identified as 16-year-old Shruti from Burail, Saurav (35), and Ram Singh from Manimajra.
Minor Girl's Tragic Death
The youngest victim, Shruti, allegedly ended her life by hanging herself with a dupatta at her home on Wednesday. The tragedy unfolded when her mother, who works as domestic help in Sector 51, returned home to find her daughter's room locked from inside.
Police officials confirmed that the incident came to light during the evening hours when family members discovered the grim scene. Adult Victims Struggled with Personal Issues
The other two victims, both adult men, also died by hanging at their respective residences. Police sources indicated that he struggled with alcohol addiction, which may have contributed to his mental state.
Ram Singh, identified as a cab driver, was also under significant stress according to preliminary investigations. The police are examining the specific circumstances that led to his extreme decision, though details about the nature of his stressors remain under investigation.
