"Every woman running today plays multiple roles: mother, professional, caregiver, and dreamer. By providing this platform, we wanted to remind them to prioritize their health. The participation was huge, and it showed that if women are supported, the entire society moves ahead," said a Charnock Hospitals official.

Innovative Healthcare Initiatives Launched

Desun Hospital introduced Kolkata's first dedicated Parental Skills Clinic, an innovative initiative designed to support expecting couples and new parents with comprehensive medical guidance, emotional support, and practical caregiving knowledge. This program specifically aims to guide families through pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood, with particular attention to the needs of nuclear family structures.

Techno India DAMA Hospital organized an insightful discussion on 'Women's Health & Contribution' featuring speakers from various professional backgrounds and life experiences, further emphasizing the connection between wellness and societal participation.

Awareness Campaign Against Child Marriage Concludes

A significant awareness campaign concluded on International Women's Day after covering substantial ground across West Bengal. The Vivah Mukti Rath campaign traveled 27,055 kilometers through 2,567 villages, sensitizing over 10 lakh people against the practice of child marriage.

Launched last month by Just Rights for Children, India's largest child rights NGO network that includes 14 organizations in Bengal, this initiative was part of the 100-Day Intensive Campaign coordinated by both central and state governments. The mobile awareness vehicle conducted 827 events during its journey, creating substantial community engagement around this critical social issue.

The day's celebrations across Kolkata consistently stressed the importance of intentional support, mentoring, and advocacy for women, aligning with this year's International Women's Day theme while focusing specifically on health as a foundation for empowerment and contribution.
