AIR Lucknow Celebrates 89 Years of Broadcasting Excellence

All India Radio Lucknow commemorated its 89th Foundation Day with a grand cultural evening held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Thursday. The event was a vibrant celebration of the station's long-standing legacy in public broadcasting, attracting dignitaries and artists alike.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Presents Honors

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath graced the occasion and felicitated several distinguished individuals for their contributions to society and culture. The honorees included senior dramatist Anil Rastogi, writer Vidya Bindu Singh, and renowned folk singer Malini Awasthi.

The programme commenced with a stirring rendition of the national song and the national anthem, performed by students from Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. This opening segment set a patriotic tone for the evening, highlighting AIR's role in promoting national unity and cultural heritage.

Prasar Bharati Leadership Emphasizes Public Service Mission

Prasar Bharati CEO Gaurav Dwivedi addressed the gathering, reaffirming AIR's commitment to its foundational motto: 'Bahujan Hitaya, Bahujan Sukhaya', which translates to 'welfare and peace for the masses'. He emphasized that AIR continues to serve all sections of society through its diverse broadcasts, maintaining its relevance in the digital age.

Other notable attendees included Rajiv Kumar Jain, Director General of All India Radio, and Sumona Pandey, Programme Head, who were present to support the celebrations and interact with the honorees and participants.

The 89th Foundation Day event not only celebrated AIR Lucknow's rich history but also reinforced its ongoing mission to inform, educate, and entertain the public through radio broadcasting.
