Awadh Bonsai Association Marks Silver Jubilee with Mega Exhibition
Awadh Bonsai Association Celebrates 25 Years

The Awadh Bonsai Association proudly celebrated twenty-five years of dedication to teaching and preserving the ancient Japanese art of bonsai with a magnificent two-day Mega Bonsai Exhibition. The event, held at a city hotel, brought together nature enthusiasts, bonsai masters, and art lovers from across the nation to mark this significant milestone.

Honoring a Legacy and Showcasing Artistry

The Silver Jubilee celebrations served a dual purpose: commemorating the association's 25-year journey and paying tribute to its founder, the late Santosh Arora. For decades, the association has been a cornerstone for bonsai culture in India, and this event was a fitting homage to its enduring mission.

The exhibition featured a stunning array of bonsai trees, each displayed in traditional and intricate styles. Attendees marveled at a Premna shaped in the Penja and Saikei styles, a Blue Braya arranged in the Rock Penjing style, a Tamarind crafted in the elegant Bunjin style, and a sculptural Sea Hibiscus showcased in a dramatic semi-cascade form. Each piece reflected the exquisite artistry and patience inherent to this ancient practice.

Live Demonstrations by Renowned Masters

A major highlight of the event was the series of live demonstrations conducted by celebrated bonsai masters from major Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Jaipur. These experts provided step-by-step guidance, demystifying the techniques used to shape ordinary trees into living masterpieces.

The masters who captivated the audience included Jyoti Parekh, Nikunj Parekh, Veer Chaudhary, Soumik Das, and Ravindra Damodran. Their hands-on sessions offered invaluable insights into the delicate art of wiring, pruning, and styling, inspiring both newcomers and seasoned practitioners.

A Grand Finale of Recognition

The two-day celebration concluded on a high note with a special felicitation ceremony. The association honored the bonsai masters for their invaluable contributions and unwavering support throughout its 25-year journey. This gesture acknowledged the collective effort that has been pivotal in nurturing and growing the bonsai community in India.

The event successfully highlighted the Awadh Bonsai Association's profound impact on preserving this delicate art form. By bringing together a diverse community of enthusiasts, the Silver Jubilee exhibition not only celebrated a rich past but also planted the seeds for the future of bonsai in the country.
