The Tourism Department of Chandigarh commemorated the death anniversary of the legendary architect Pierre Jeanneret on Thursday with a series of engaging events. The day's activities commenced with an interactive educational session held at the Pierre Jeanneret Museum in Sector 5. Keynote and Open Mic Reflections
The keynote presentation was delivered by Nikhita Kinger, a visiting professor at the Chandigarh College of Architecture. She highlighted Jeanneret's immense contributions to Chandigarh's modernist vision and detailed his close collaboration with Le Corbusier in building the city from the ground up. To conclude the event on a participatory note, an open mic session was offered. This provided architects, students, and other attendees a platform to share personal reflections, experiences, and stories connected to Pierre Jeanneret and his lasting influence on Chandigarh.
