CM Hemant Soren Performs Mahashivratri Rituals at Historic Pahari Mandir in Ranchi

On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren led traditional devotional ceremonies at the historic Pahari Mandir in Ranchi on Sunday. The chief minister performed sacred rituals with deep reverence, offering heartfelt prayers for the progress, peace, and prosperity of Jharkhand state and all its citizens.

Traditional Offerings and Devotional Atmosphere

Amid resonant chants of "Bam Bam Bhole" and "Har Har Mahadev" filling the temple premises, Chief Minister Soren made traditional offerings of water and sacred Bilva leaves (Bel leaves) to Lord Shiva. The spiritual leader extended warm greetings to the people of Jharkhand, with Ranchi MLA C P Singh also present during the significant religious ceremonies.

"I extend my heartfelt greetings to all on the sacred occasion of Mahashivratri," stated Chief Minister Hemant Soren. "May Lord Bholenath bless every citizen with happiness, harmony, and prosperity throughout their lives."

Widespread Devotional Celebrations Across Ranchi

Throughout Ranchi, devotees engaged in continuous worship activities, pouring water and milk on Shivlings from Pahari Mandir to neighborhood shrines. Traditional offerings of Bel leaves and flowers accompanied recitations of prayers that continued throughout the entire day of spiritual observance.

Major temples across the city witnessed exceptionally long queues as families, youth, and elderly devotees waited patiently for their opportunity to perform the sacred 'abhishek' ritual. Temple complexes were beautifully decorated with floral arrangements and illuminated with festive lights, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

Notable Temple Gatherings and Personal Devotion

At the prominent Shiv temple situated atop Marsili Pahad in Namkum, devotees formed extensive queues from early morning hours, patiently awaiting their turn to offer 'jal' (water) and perform traditional puja ceremonies. Similarly, Shiv Shakti Dham in Chiraoundi experienced heavy devotional footfall throughout the celebration day.

Several smaller neighborhood temples across Ranchi maintained continuous cycles of puja and 'archana' ceremonies. "We have been coming to Marsili Pahad every Mahashivratri for years," shared devotee Ramesh Kumar. "Despite the substantial crowds, the devotion and spiritual energy here feel truly divine and uplifting."
