Happy Streets Brings Fitness, Music, and Art to JP Nagar Bengaluru
Happy Streets Enlivens JP Nagar with Fun and Community Spirit

Bengaluru: Residents of JP Nagar enjoyed an energetic start to their Sunday thanks to Happy Streets, an initiative by The Times of India. Panduranga Nagar, near Adarsh Rhythm Apartments, saw locals step out in good numbers, taking advantage of a traffic-free stretch filled with fitness, music, and a warm sense of community.

Morning Activities for All

The morning offered something for everyone. Heartfulness began the day with a yoga session that attracted residents seeking a calm and grounded start to their weekend. Adding a local flavor, the Panduranga Nagar Association and Step Nation kept the energy flowing with three cheerful performances: a women’s group dance, a kids’ group dance, and a soulful veena instrumental by residents, providing a classical touch.

Dance and Music Highlights

Swingers Dance Inc. got the crowd on their feet with a Zumba session, while Let’s Move Dance Academy and Kalanandana School of Dance added more color to the morning with their own dance performances. Mic & Melody and From Mug to Mic brought live music and interactive singing to the street, ensuring no shortage of entertainment for music lovers.

Art and Creativity

Art found its place too. NeeRav Arts Village conducted art classes, while Prashree Art drew a steady stream of curious visitors with mandala art. Retrovarna School of Arts set up drawing classes that welcomed both children and elders in a quiet corner of creativity, where many seemed happy to linger. My India Quest ran a lively quiz game that kept participants engaged, while Reclaim Constitution offered something more thoughtful: printing of the Constitution, sparking small conversations about civic life. The Postcrossing Welfare Society of India brought a delightful old-world charm, encouraging residents to write and distribute postcards and introducing many to the world of philately.

Sponsor Engagement

Throughout the morning, presenting sponsor Bhima Jewellers engaged visitors with crowd quizzes and a lucky draw announcement.
