Governor Kataria Honors Guru Tegh Bahadur's Legacy

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria delivered a powerful tribute to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur during a significant religious ceremony held at Rayat Bahra University on Thursday. The Governor described the ninth Sikh Guru's martyrdom as an extraordinary act of courage that continues to inspire generations in their fight for faith and human rights.

Dharm Rakhiak Yatra Receives Gubernatorial Recognition

The occasion marked the reception of the Dharm Rakhiak Yatra, a spiritual journey dedicated to commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur and his devoted companions. Governor Kataria emphasized how the Guru's selfless sacrifice to protect Kashmiri Pandits' religious freedom remains relevant centuries later, serving as a timeless example of spiritual courage and tolerance.

The Governor noted that anniversary events honoring Guru Tegh Bahadur are being observed not just in Punjab but across India, spreading his message of universal human dignity and religious freedom. The yatra itself began its journey from Gurdwara Guru Ke Mahal in Sri Anandpur Sahib, carrying forward the Guru's eternal teachings.
