Belagavi: KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER) (deemed-to-be) University's Kannada Balaga and KLE School of Music organized Vachanotsava-2026 on the JN Medical College campus Wednesday, aiming to introduce the younger generation to Basaveshwara's teachings and the values enshrined in 'vachana' literature.
Mass Participation
More than 1,000 students, faculty, and staff from various KLE institutions came together to render 35 selected 'vachanas' in a mass singing presentation. The event highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of these teachings.
Key Speakers
Basava Marulasiddha Swami from Basava Tatwa Peetha, Chikkamagaluru, and Basava Kendra, Shivamogga, underscored the importance of the Anubhava Mantapa as a pioneering democratic forum promoting equality and social harmony.
Prabhakar Kore, chancellor of KLE Deemed University, emphasized the role of 'vachana' literature in shaping ethical, value-based lives and appreciated the participation of the KLE fraternity.
Prof VM Pattanshetti, registrar; Rajesh Powar, principal of JN Medical College; and the honorary president of Kannada Balaga also spoke at the event, reinforcing the message of unity and moral education.
