Mantralaya Mutt Hundi Counting Wraps Up with Significant Donations
The annual hundi counting ceremony at the revered Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Raichur successfully concluded on Tuesday, marking the end of a meticulous 21-day process in March. Temple authorities have announced that the total donations collected amounted to an impressive Rs 2,48,28,737, showcasing the deep devotion and generosity of followers from across the region.
Breakdown of Donations and Precious Offerings
According to official reports, the majority of the contributions came in the form of currency notes, totaling Rs 2,39,26,137. Additionally, coins contributed a substantial Rs 9,02,600 to the overall sum. Beyond monetary donations, devotees also offered valuable items as a gesture of faith, including 14 grams of gold and 2,163 grams of silver, highlighting the spiritual significance attached to the mutt.
Transparent and Efficient Counting Process
The counting operation, which concluded late Tuesday night, was conducted with utmost transparency and efficiency. Hundreds of mutt staff, members of bhajana mandalis, and dedicated volunteers collaborated to ensure the smooth and accurate tallying of donations.
