Spiritual Messages from Dharmadhikari Heggade

Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade of Dharmasthala addressed the pilgrims, emphasizing the transformative power of faith. "During Shivaratri, thousands of devotees come to Dharmasthala on a pilgrimage with faith and devotion. They should leave behind all their sins here and strive to live a meaningful life as civilized individuals," he stated.

Heggade further explained that Lord Manjunathaswamy, known as Vishakantha, possesses the ability to accept faults and work for global welfare. He noted that many devotees visit to pray for the salvation of those who died in accidents or untimely deaths, adding that selfless pilgrimages yield greater benefits. "It is commendable that women are also actively participating in these rituals," he remarked, while extending special congratulations to devotees from Bengaluru.

Additional Rituals and Logistics Support

Other temples in the district, such as Sri Kalikamba Vinayaka Temple, Attavara Sri Umamaheshwara Temple, Someshwara Sri Somanatha Temple, Kavoor Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple, Pandeshwara Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple, and Uppinangady Sri Sahasralingeshwara Temple, also conducted various Mahashivaratri observances. To facilitate the large number of pilgrims, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) operated special services to major temples, ensuring convenient travel for devotees.

The collective participation and meticulous organization underscored the deep-rooted cultural and religious traditions associated with Mahashivaratri in coastal Karnataka, making it a memorable event for all involved.
