"The days leading up to Republic Day are always the busiest for us flag and badge sellers," explained Ramesh Yadav, a vendor operating near Sitabuldi. "While customers may engage in some bargaining, they invariably end up buying something to show their patriotic spirit." This surge in demand highlights the deep-rooted connection citizens feel towards the national celebration.
Educational Institutions Lead Preparations with Patriotic Zeal
Schools across Nagpur have been at the heart of the Republic Day preparations, spending the entire week rehearsing patriotic songs, group dances, and skits. Government and civic offices across Nagpur are observing Republic Day with official ceremonies and restricted routine work. Key administrative buildings, such as the collectorate and divisional commissionerate, are prominently displaying national flags and decorations.
Senior officers and staff members are attending flag-hoisting programs as part of the day's observances. To ensure peaceful celebrations, security arrangements have been strengthened around major government installations and public spaces.
