NBRI Lucknow's Rose & Gladiolus Show on Jan 24-25

The National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) in Lucknow is all set to dazzle visitors with its much-awaited annual floral exhibition. The Rose and Gladiolus Show will transform the institute into a vibrant paradise for two days, on January 24 and 25, 2024. This year's event promises a unique attraction alongside the classic blooms: a special display of rare and fascinating cactus and succulent plants.

A Floral Extravaganza with Unique Botanic Wonders

While the show is renowned for its stunning arrays of roses and gladioli in full bloom, the 2024 edition will feature an exceptional collection of desert flora. Among the key highlights will be the Golden Barrel Cactus, colloquially and humorously known as "mother-in-law's chair." This distinctive variety will be showcased along with other rare cactus species, offering a contrasting yet captivating experience for plant enthusiasts.

Visitor Information: Timings and Entry Details

NBRI spokesperson Rajat Raj Rastogi has provided the essential details for the public. The floral show will be open from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24. On the second day, Thursday, January 25, the gates will open earlier, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The entry to this botanical spectacle is priced at an affordable Rs. 10 per person.

More Than Just a Flower Show

This event is designed to be both visually spectacular and educational. Visitors can expect informative displays accompanying the floral arrangements, providing insights into the various cultivars and species. Over the years, the NBRI show has built a strong reputation for its vivid colour presentations, diversity of plant varieties, and its ability to attract a wide audience. The event consistently sees enthusiastic participation from gardening communities, horticulture experts, botany students, and families alike.

The Rose and Gladiolus Show at NBRI stands as a premier calendar event in Lucknow, celebrating the beauty and diversity of the plant kingdom. It offers a perfect weekend plan for those looking to immerse themselves in nature's artistry.
