Uttar Pradesh Government Announces Rashmirathi Festival in Lucknow
The Uttar Pradesh government has unveiled plans to organize a significant three-day cultural event, the Rashmirathi Festival, scheduled from April 24 to 26 at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow. This festival is dedicated to commemorating the death anniversary of the revered Rashtrakavi (National Poet) Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, a towering figure in Hindi literature.

During a press conference held at Lok Bhavan on Saturday, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi provided comprehensive details about the festival. The event will feature a rich lineup of performances, including:
- Three theatrical plays
- One dance drama
These artistic presentations are designed to honor Dinkar's literary legacy and engage the public in celebrating his contributions to Indian culture.
Commemorating 75 Years of Rashmirathi
A key highlight of the festival is its focus on marking 75 years since the publication of Dinkar's famous epic poem, Rashmirathi. To further celebrate this milestone, Minister Shahi announced the release of a special commemorative publication titled 'Rashmirathi Samvad'. This book is expected to delve into the themes and impact of Dinkar's work, offering insights for scholars and enthusiasts alike.

The festival will be graced by high-profile dignitaries, underscoring its importance. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will serve as the chief guest, while Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will deliver the keynote address. The event is being meticulously coordinated by Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, with Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Dinesh Sharma presiding over the proceedings.
