New Leadership for Women's Wing Announced in Lucknow
The Uttarakhand Mahaparishad Women's Wing ushered in a new phase of leadership this Sunday in Lucknow. The organization announced the nomination of Hira Bisht as the Chief Patron and Karuna Pandey as the Patron. This move signals a strengthening of the wing's guiding council as it continues its social and cultural endeavors.
Pushpa Vaishnav Secures Historic Third Term as President
Steering the wing forward is Pushpa Vaishnav, who was re-elected to the presidential post for a remarkable third consecutive term. According to Uttarakhand Mahaparishad convener Diwan Singh Adhikari, Vaishnav's re-election is a direct result of her impactful work during her previous two terms. Her tenure has been marked by several beneficial decisions aimed at the wing's betterment and a consistent push to promote cultural programs across the state.
Expanded Executive Committee and Recent Initiatives
Alongside the patrons and president, a full executive committee was elected to manage the wing's activities. The key appointments include:
- Sunita Kanwal as Senior Vice President.
- Six Vice Presidents: Hema, Sita, Kamala, Meena, Renu, and Rajeshwari.
- Sunita Rawat as General Secretary.
- Pushpa Gailakoti as Secretary.
- Trilochni Rawat and Lakshmi Joshi as Joint Secretaries.
- Three Public Relations Secretaries: Sunita Goswami, Hema Dobriyal, and Hema Kandpal.
Additionally, ten new members were elected to the committee: Manju, Divya, Kalpana, Sushila, Deepa, Savita, Sonia, Renu, Hema, and Rekha.
The wing's commitment to cultural promotion was recently demonstrated through the organization of various children's competitions at the Uttarakhand Mahotsav.
