The stage is set for one of Rajasthan's most prestigious fitness events, the 53rd Mr Rajasthan Bodybuilding Championship, which will be held in Kota on January 11, 2026. The competition is a joint initiative of the Rajasthan State Body Building Association and the Kota District Bodybuilding Association.
Elite Athletes and Prize Structure
Addressing a press conference in Jaipur on Saturday, Rajasthan State Body Building Association president Naveen Yadav announced that approximately 250 top bodybuilders from across the state are expected to participate in this annual showcase of strength and physique. The tournament poster was unveiled at the event by Naveen Yadav, Jaipur District Olympic Association president Giriraj Khandelwal, Dulichand Yadav, and Ayan Gird Yadav.
The championship will feature competitions across nine weight categories, ranging from 55-kg to the 90-kg plus division. In an exciting addition, there will be three separate prizes dedicated to the fitness physique category, segmented by height: 170-cm, 177-cm, and above 177-cm.
The prize money is significant, with the overall champion set to receive a cash award of Rs 51,000. The runner-up will take home Rs 31,000, and the second runner-up will earn Rs 21,000. Furthermore, Yadav confirmed that the top three finishers in each of the individual weight categories will also be rewarded with Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000, and Rs 2,000, respectively.
Star-Studded Guest Appearance
Adding considerable glamour and inspiration to the event will be the presence of Arshan Khan as the special guest. Khan recently brought glory to India by winning a gold medal at the 16th World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship 2025 held in Indonesia last month. Attendees will have the privilege of watching him display his exceptional posing skills during the event.
Governing Bodies and Significance
The Rajasthan State Body Building Association, which is organizing this premier event, holds affiliations with two major national and state sports bodies: the Indian Body Builders Federation (IBBF) and the Rajasthan State Olympic Association. This underscores the championship's official stature and its role in identifying and promoting top-tier athletic talent within the state.
The 53rd edition of the championship promises to be a grand celebration of dedication, discipline, and physical excellence, putting Kota in the spotlight of India's bodybuilding community.
